New versions and an accessory kit for Sennheiser´s smallest clip-on microphone
Audio specialist Sennheiser has launched new colour and connector options for the MKE 1, the company’s smallest clip-on microphone. A white and a brown microphone version round off the portfolio, and all MKE 1 models are now also available with a 3.5mm jack plug to connect to bodypack transmitters of the evolution wireless series. At the same time, Sennheiser introduces a new accessory set, which includes everything required for securely attaching the tiny clip-on.
The MKE 1 clip-on microphone is now available with connectors for evolution wireless bodypack transmitters and in white and brown versions
The MKE 1 is now available in two new colours: “We have added a white version of the microphone to the portfolio especially for our broadcast customers,” says Product Manager Kai Lange, “and for theatre and musicals, the brown version is a frequently requested alternative to the previously available black and beige colours.”
All of the microphone versions of the MKE 1 will now also be available with a screw-on 3.5mm jack plug, in addition to the versions with LEMO connectors and unterminated cables. “So now this fabulous microphone can also be used by the numerous evolution wireless users,” explains Lange.
Small, practical and everything included: the MZ 1 accessory set In a transparent box with compartments that can be individually opened, the MZ 1 accessory set includes different clips for securely attaching the microphone, plus various accessories for protection against wind. “With this flexible set the sound engineer has everything readily at his fingertips and can reliably attach the MKE 1 for every situation. The accessories are protected in the box, are clearly visible from the outside and can be compactly carried ‘about one’s person’,” says Kai Lange.
The new MZ 1 accessory set contains virtually everything to reliably attach the MKE 1 clip-on microphone and protect it against wind noise (The accessory set includes two mini-clips, two “Dracula” mounts, two small magnetic mounts including a lanyard, and two mini-clamps that are rotatable through 360° (all clips and mounts available in black and white), as well as a so-called cover-up made of soft plastic, which surrounds the microphone providing protection if it is to be affixed in a concealed manner. In order to reduce wind noise, two windshield baskets (black and beige) as well as foam windshields in black, white, beige and brown are included. The windshield basket reduces wind noise by up to 22 dB, and the foam windshield on the small basket will reduce noise by a further 10 dB. All of the accessories can also be ordered individually as spare parts.
The MZ 1 accessory set and the new MKE 1 colour and connector versions will be delivered from December 2009 onwards.
